Recommend | Top 6 Boy Kpop Group Songs To Give A Listen

Updated: Jun 30

I'm back again with another music recommendation blog post. If you haven't checked out my other blog posts like the "Top 5 Best Sad Songs" or "Top 5 Relaxing Songs", do check them out!

Kpop, is a phenomenon in the world, and its popularity is only growing bigger day by day. With more Kpop groups forming like KAACHI (althought they aren't that good), the number of Kpop songs has increased.

Needless to say, the quality of the Kpop songs has also increased in the face of the fierce rivalry between each entertainment company.

As such, I have scoured through the wide arrays of Kpop songs and found the top 6 boy kpop group songs that you should give a listen to.

BTS - DNA

Of course, first up we have the most popular Korean boy group of all time, BTS. This song was the first performance that they gave during the AMAs where they attracted the American media.

The song gives a very modern vibe to it, using electric synths and up to beat melody. With the superb rapping of Suga and RM alongside the amazing voices and dance moves of the rest of the 5 members, the song gives a really energetic vibe to it and makes you want to move your body.

Definitely give this a listen and you (most probably) will love it!

SuperM - Jopping

SuperM is a newly formed boy group by SM entertainment with the members being handpicked from each boy group in the company based on their talent. Jopping is their debut single and needless to say, it is a grooving and catchy song.

The dance moves are meticulous and hard to execute and their verses are sung and rapped to perfection. The structure of the song is unlike the other songs (not having an actual chorus) and the song gives a heavy dance vibe to it.

Oh and the song has mostly English lyrics which is a pleasant surprise for us, English speakers.

This song lives up to the name of the group, SuperM, which is to say they are a "super" group thus having great potential and talent.

EXO - Growl

EXO is a 9 membered Kpop group that debuted in 2013 and is also one of the most popular Kpop boy groups in South Korea. Growl is a song that incorporates contemporary R&B and funk together to create a dance-pop song that is both catchy and groovy.

This is definitely a song that I recommend you guys to listen to since they showcase their amazing vocals in it and the melody of the song is unique.

N.Flying - Rooftop

N.Flying is a pop rock band that debuted in 2013 and has been a known group in the Kpop industry.

I have made an article before on how they are really underrated, so do check it out!

Back to the topic, Rooftop is a rock song with the typical drums, electric guitars and so. So if you are a rock fan, this is the one for you.

Even if you are not, the song also sounds great with the exceptional vocals and fluid rapping of the group. Do check the song out!

CNBLUE - I'm A Loner

This is probably the oldest song in the list but you know the saying, "old is gold".

CNBLUE, is also a pop rock band like N.Flying but their songs has always have a touch of electronic music to it so its refreshing to listen to.

I'm A Loner is a classic of the Kpop songs as it is a song of the earlier Kpop generations. The song is very upbeat and has a touch of jazz vibes to it that really makes it stand out from the rest of the songs.

Do give it a listen!

NCT 127 - 영웅 (英雄; Kick It)

NCT 127 is the sub-unit of the South Korean unlimited boy group NCT and they are probably the youngest group of all the groups listed here.

Kick It is a song that has mixed in hip hop and R&B elements to it, yet still keeping their own style in it. In the video, they kept a nostalgic homage to old movies and games so you could say that this is a collision of the old and the new.

If you are into these hip hop or R&B songs, then this would be a perfect fit for you.

That's it for my "Top 6 Boy Kpop Group Songs To Give A Listen To".

Of course, there are many other songs that are also awesome but this is what I think is more unique compared to the rest.
