Hey guys! I'm back again with another rant about music. So today, I want to talk about one of my favorite (or favorite) Kpop group/band. It is none other than, N.Flying! The reason why I want to write about them is because I realized that they are severely underrated as compared to other mainstream Kpop boy groups like NCT 127, EXO, PENTAGON, BTS etc(not saying that they are overrated as well DON'T MISUNDERSTAND). Anyways, as I was saying, N.Flying does display great potential with a talented drummer, Kim Jaehyun, a excellent guitarist, Cha Hun, a all-round producer and vocalist/keyboardist, Lee Seunghyub, and last but not least, Yoo Hwe Seung, the main vocalist of the band(HE IS MY FAVORITE!). So these four members make up the band N.flying and has produced many different songs in their reign. Let me show you a picture of them.
If I'm not wrong, I heard that N.Flying had to do live gigs and street busking WAY before they debuted. In one of the interviews that N.Flying did here,:
they talked about them being left at Japan and had to learn the language and perform busking BY THEMSELVES. While going through so many hardships, at the same time, we can justify N.Flying's talents and live performance abilities through their tough start.
In addition to this, I feel that N.Flying have made many songs that really hit the spot with the amazing vocals and wonderful music arrangement like Hot Potato, Leave It and The Real(you can listen these songs below).
However, they didn't receive any awards for their songs and lost in every music show in Korea like M Countdown, The Show and Inkigayo. It is until their hit single "Rooftop" that came out which gave them a breakthrough: topped #1 on all Korea music charts and won their first "Show Champion" first place comeback in Inkigayo and The Show. You can check out the single "Rooftop" below:
While this may have gave N.Flying a little more fame, I feel that they are still very underrated as their songs deserve much more recognition in the Kpop community. I feel that N.Flying's songs are less submissive to the mainstream Kpop songs with the overused same music arrangements and song progression and thus should be appreciated more. I hope you guys (especially the Kpop lovers) can check them out and maybe even start listening to them (you won't regret it!).
Overall, I would rate N.Flying a 8/10.
Thank you for reading thus far for my blog. I really wanted to talk about this Kpop band for quite a while and I'm happy that I'm able to. Subscribe to my newletter if you like this type of content!
